Add an island
Open Islands, choose Add Island, and enter a public Fortnite island code. No Epic sign-in is required.
Island Pulse monitors public Fortnite island performance and keeps your analysis and long-term history on your device. Optional remote alerts use a narrow, anonymous notification service.
Island Pulse is a local-first app. Most issues can be resolved on your iPhone or Android phone without an account or Epic credential.
Open Islands, choose Add Island, and enter a public Fortnite island code. No Epic sign-in is required.
Island Pulse labels the latest Epic reading separately from the last network check. If Epic delays or omits a value, the app keeps the last available reading and never substitutes zero.
Open Settings or Alerts and enable notifications. Important alerts use an optional anonymous remote monitor so they can arrive when the app is closed. Timing remains best-effort and depends on Epic, the monitor, and Apple or Google delivery.
Open the phone app first so it can save a current snapshot. Home-screen widgets and supported wearable surfaces use that snapshot and show when it was updated.
Effective August 11, 2026
Island Pulse does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, advertising identifiers, location, searches, screens viewed, or usage analytics.
Island Pulse requests public island catalog information and public performance metrics from Epic's Fortnite Data API over HTTPS. Those requests identify the public island codes and metric ranges needed to provide the features you choose to use. Public island data is not personal information.
Followed islands, recent searches, preferences, public metric history, alert rules, generated alerts, and widget or Watch snapshots are stored locally on your phone or connected Apple devices. Searches, chart activity, comparisons, alert thresholds, local metric history, and Creator Briefing analysis are not sent to the Island Pulse notification service.
If you enable remote Important alerts, Island Pulse sends its notification service a random installation identifier unrelated to an account or hardware ID, a one-way hash of a random secret, an encrypted APNs or FCM push token, the phone platform and delivery environment, and the public codes, names, identifiers, and tracking start times of notification-eligible followed islands. Hidden and comparison-only islands are omitted. This information is used only to monitor public island metrics, synchronize eligibility, recover Important alerts, and deliver the notifications you requested.
Canonical Important alert events and delivery-attempt status are retained for no more than 24 hours. Anonymous registrations that are not refreshed for 90 days are deleted. Public metric observations and evaluator state are stored by island rather than as a profile of a person. Island Pulse does not store request IP addresses or user-agent strings in its product database or logs.
Epic processes requests for public island information. Cloudflare processes network traffic to operate the optional notification service. Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging processes an opaque push token and notification payload to deliver alerts. These providers handle infrastructure metadata under their own terms. If you choose an external Fortnite or Fortnite.GG link, that site handles the visit under its own privacy practices. Island Pulse is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games.
Use Settings > Storage in Island Pulse to delete saved history for individual maps or all maps. Turning off remote alerts sends an authenticated request to delete the anonymous remote registration; permanently invalid push tokens are also deleted immediately. Deleting the app removes its private local data and preferences from the device, subject to the platform's normal backup and restore behavior.
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated before the change is represented in the App Store or Google Play privacy disclosure. For questions, email lohejohn2@gmail.com.
